Pike Opening Another Store

Atlanta, Georgia-based Pike Nurseries is at it again. They announced in mid-February that they’ll be opening a new garden center in Milton, Georgia. This location will be the first Pike store to open in the Atlanta area (Milton is just 30 or so miles north-ish of the city) since 2007.

The Milton facility will be Pike Nurseries’ 19th store. The garden center will sit on about 4 acres of land right off Highway 9 in Milton. It’ll include an indoor store, outdoor nursery and landscape consultation office totaling an area of more than 64,000 sq. ft., with about 10,000 sq. ft. of that being indoor retail.

Why now and why here? Pike’s VP of real estate and visual merchandising Mike Chapman said in a press release that they’ve done the research and found that they’ll have plentiful support for their full-service garden center in this market. GP
