Head to the top of the South for this year’s America In Bloom Symposium & Awards Celebration in Lexington, Kentucky. The event runs September 27 – 29 and includes educational sessions and tours of Lexington-area sights. Scott Beuerlein, horticulturist at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanic Garden, will present the keynote address, “Why Flowers, Plants and Trees Matter.” In it, he’ll take a look at the big picture and how horticulture of all types fits into today’s busy lifestyle.
 
The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday night, with more than 40 cities across the United States participating in this year’s program.
