Youth Garden Grants Available
Jennifer Polanz
The 2023 Youth Garden Grant award program is now open through the KidsGardening.org team, with the mission of creating opportunities for kids to play, learn and grow through gardening.
The goal is find new and existing youth gardens to offer support and expand the opportunities for kids to enjoy gardening. The program is always looking for sponsors, too, to help with the costs of the grants.
“Gardens benefit us all—from supporting personal well-being to creating positive environmental impacts that ripple across a region,” says Ethan Platt, CEO of American Meadows. “We’re proud that our ongoing partnership with KidsGardening helps ensure every child has an opportunity to dig in and do good through gardening.”
In 2022, the Youth Garden Grant awarded 50 programs and reached nearly 13,000 youth in 31 states across the country. Visit KidsGardening.org to read the 2021 Impact Report, find ways to donate and to learn more about the grants. Applications for the Youth Garden Grant are due December 2. GP
