SnowCare for Healthcare Workers
Jennifer Polanz
Project EverGreen is often working in the background, providing support and charitable activities related to green spaces and landscaping. This time I want to bring them to the forefront with a new take on an existing program. Volunteers with Project EverGreen have traditionally offered snow removal services for our troops and now this year the organization is expanding that to include Healthcare Heroes as they battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
Project EverGreen, along with program sponsor BOSS Snowplow, is asking for nominations of frontline healthcare professionals in their communities to receive snow and ice removal services. Volunteers are encouraged to identify potential recipients through neighborhood groups, schools, church groups or social media. The program will run through April 1.
“We realize we can’t help all frontline heroes, but we hope that with the support of our dedicated volunteers we can provide vital snow removal services to healthcare professionals during this unprecedented time,” says Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen.
