PPA Presents Annual Awards

During the Perennial Plant Association’s 28th Annual National Symposium in Portland, Oregon, this July, the organization presented numerous horticulture industry experts and businesses with their annual awards.

Chief among the 2010 recipients was Green Profit contributor and the industry’s “Perennial Diva” Stephanie Cohen, who received the organization’s Garden Media Promoter of the Year award. According to John Friel, PPA’s president-elect and GP columnist, Stephanie “has now won every laurel PPA has to bestow … unless she opens a garden center or greenhouse.”

Also receiving accolades during the PPA awards ceremony were: Robert Herman (Academic Award), Paul Zammit (Service Award), Al’s Garden Center (Retail Award), Grace Dinsdale (Grower Award), Graham Rice (International Award), Angela Treadwell-Palmer (Young Professional Award) and Dan Hinkley (Award of Merit).
