These Roses are Stars

Star Roses and Plants announced two of its roses won awards from the American Garden Rose Selections (AGRS) testing program for 2021. This program trials roses for two years in six different regions and looks for ease of care, disease resistance, vigor, fragrance and suitability for different regions of the country, among other characteristics. The winners from Star are:

• Sweet Spirit, a Regional Choice Award Winner in all regions and Fragrance Award Winner. This rose has an attractive, fully double, traditional rose bloom with a strong, sweet fragrance. It grows well in hot, humid climates.

• Brick House, a Regional Choice Award Winner in the Northwest, Northeast and South-Central regions. Brick House has a strong, dark red flower color and reblooms throughout the season with a lot of flower power on each flush. It has excellent disease resistance for the type and performs well on its own roots.
