KidsGardening.com Making a Difference

The organization KidsGardening.com recently released its 2021 Impact Report to show what kind of impact they’re making on kids around the country. The numbers are pretty awesome when you think about some of the challenges we all faced in 2021, the biggest being
COVID-related ones that prevented a lot of in-person activity. Here are some of the numbers:

•     Over 3.8 million kids interacted with KidsGardening.com educational resources, an increase of over 25%
•     Over 28,000 kids were supported through the Kids Garden Community
•     Over 115,000 kids benefited from the grants and garden installations provided by the organization
•     Over 82,000 kids used KidsGardening.com curriculum publications

The organization’s goals for 2022 and beyond are to:
•     Improve access to the grant programs
•     Prioritize funding the programs that need it the most
•     Prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility within the educational content and leverage the KidsGardening.com platform to give an equitable voice to all communities in the youth gardening movement
•     Expand work in Spanish and other languages
•     Continue education on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility for the KidsGardening.com board and staff GP
