Plants With Superpowers
Ellen C. Wells
Here’s a new book you may be interested in carrying—“Plants with Superpowers: 75 Remarkable Plants for your Garden and Home” is written by David Domoney, a presenter on several, quite popular, UK garden shows.
He’s a fun fact man and in this new book David shares some plants that are capable of some extraordinary things. Like what? Venus flytraps can count! Nightshade is used by the military to counteract chemical warfare! Prehistoric Gingko trees can survive an atomic bomb! Blackthorn has the best wood for magic wands (or so they say). And the cool thing is you can grow all of these 75 superpower-having plants yourself. Hey, I suppose you can get into the magic wand business.
Published March 18 by Frances Lincoln, a Quarto imprint. GP
