Fall Fun

This is just a taste of the displays spotted on this year’s retail tour for The Garden Center Group Fall Event, conveniently (for me) located in The Land, aka Cleveland, Ohio. I’m going to have a lot more displays and highlights from the Fall Event in the December issue, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek.
What’s the Fall Event, you ask? Every year, The Garden Center Group—a consortium of select independent retail garden centers that share information and have access to a group of service providers—pick a different city to have their annual conference and a day of touring local retailers. This year, the tour consisted of some of the best Northeast Ohio has to offer, including:
- Bremec Garden Center, Chesterland
- Breezewood Gardens & Gift, Chagrin Falls
- Petitti Garden Center, Bainbridge
- Petitti Garden Center, Bath
- Boyert’s Greenhouse & Farm, Medina
- Willoway Nurseries, Avon
Of course, that last stop isn’t a retailer, but they’re a large tree, shrub and perennial wholesale grower who’s grown products for garden centers since 1954, and now ship product through E-commerce Connect, an online option for independent garden centers. They also throw a fabulous BBQ, just fyi.
