Pets on the Payroll

Little backstory on this month’s “Pet”—I met Laura from Arnold’s Prairie Greenhouse & More in LeRoy, Kansas, at last year’s Kansas Greenhouse Growers Association meeting, and she told me the cutest story about Maggie. Here it is:

“Maggie, a Golden Retriever, belongs to the original owners, who now live next door. She comes to work every morning and has made herself our Greeter,” Laura said. “She even began picking up the Kansas City Gardener magazine and handing it out to customers. She loves everyone and we have customers who come with treats in their pockets just for Maggie.”
