New Blue grama grass Bouteloua gracilis Honeycomb is an adaptable and showy form of native grass with a wide distribution. Its honey-gold inflorescence have yellow pollen hanging down on the eyelash-like flowers that begin in July and hold on into winter. The thin, upright wire-like stems hold thin gray-green foliage on low clumps. Prefers well-drained to dry soil in full sun and is hardy in Zones 4 to 9.
